Apple, Inc. confirmed it will gradually lay-off 200 Beats Electronic LLC employees out of 700 people working in the headphone company.
Apple will cut jobs at Beats' finance, human resources, support teams, and other departments that overlap roles and positions with Apple's, said a source in the know.

The roles and positions can be filled by current Apple employees.
Apple provided a statement to 9to5Mac, an Apple-focused technology news website, regarding the lay-offs.
Tom Neumayr, Apple spokesman, said the company is excited that Beats is joining Apple. He also said Apple had extended job offers to every Beats employee.
"Because of some overlap in our operations, some offers are for a limited period and we’ll work hard during this time to find as many of these Beats employees as we can another permanent job within Apple," said Neumayr.
Apple acquired Beats in May. Beats, a company co-owned by rapper Dr. Dre, was bought by Apple for US$3 billion. This was the biggest acquisition in Apple's history.
Regulators from the European Union approved the deal as it saw no competition concerns. EU said the combined market share of the two companies the audio market is small.
Apple's acquisition of Beats allow it to provide a music streaming service and Beats headphone devices.
Beats hasn't yet commented on the lay-offs.
