The latest YouTube Update for Android and iOS will make it possible for iOS and others Android powered smartphone users to get video playback support of up to 60 fps. They will be able to enjoy better video feeds and live streams with this facility.

According to NDTV, Google owned YouTube has announced a new update as per which users of android powered smartphones and iOS devices using the app from their mobiles or tablets will get 60 frames per second video playback support. This update came shortly after YouTube rolled out a similar facility for its web based browsing. When the feature was rolled out for desktop users, it was supported by Chrome and Safari browsers as well. Rumors indicated that the company had introduced the new feature last month itself but with no comment from YouTube or Google, this was not believed.

Now the company has officially introduced the update that users will be able to avail benefits of, once they log into the app. Just last month, YouTube announced the support for 60 frames per second for 720 pixels as well as 1080 pixels, in association with HTML playback. Thanks to this new facility, users will be able to enjoy smooth playback for gaming as well as other fast paced videos.

The news was confirmed when the creators announced the update on their Google plus page inviting users to enjoy the new facility. Earlier this year, YouTube also announced a unique 360 degree viewing update for its portal. With this facility, users logging in through the app can opt for a 360 degree viewing as this will give them a chance to watch the various angles of the video by conveniently rotating their headsets.

The same facility can also be utilized by the desktop users just by simply clicking the mouse on the right side and dragging it in the desired direction each time the angle needs to be shifted. Another report on Venture Beat points out that this new feature puts YouTube's desktop accessibility and mobile app on the same level.
