'Bitch Better Have My Money' Video Debuts a Different and Deadly Rihanna, Features Mads Mikkelsen

(Photo : Reuters) Rihanna has won a lawsuit over London retailer Topshop after she sued the store's parent company, Arcadia, for using her image on a T-shirt without her permission.

Leave it to Rihanna to create a completely crazy and bloody persona that is not afraid to kill for money in the her latest music video for "Bitch Better Have My Money."

The singer debuted the single's music video today, and it features nudity. Violence and nudity are what viewers will first notice, but the seven-minute video is so much more than that. It is the first time Rihanna directed her own music video, which she collaborated with Megaforce, and Entertainment Weekly quoted the singer on how anxious she is after sharing an image via Instagram.

The music video first showed a teaser during the BET Awards last weekend, wherein Rihanna even got Floyd Mayweather Jr. to allow her to put duct tape on his mouth and tie him down during the event. However, Mayweather is not the only celebrity lending RiRi a hand. New York Daily News noted the presence of Mads Mikkelsen, and true enough, it is refreshing to see the actor on the receiving part of a killing spree. Mikkelsen plays the titular role in "Hannibal," and in this video, he plays the husband of the woman they kidnap and torture.

Yet there are those who think that the movie had been done in bad taste. Flavorwire observed how within the entirety of the seven-minute clip, the end scene where Rihanna is naked and bathing in blood and money is the most lighthearted images, with the whole clip basically glamorizing psychological and physical torture. On the other hand, they also said that with a track title like "Bitch Better Have My Money," it was inevitable to have a brutal spectacle, and of course, Rihanna lived up to the said expectations.

In one way or another, the movie will become a sure-fire hit. Though it may take some time for people to adjust to the blatant nudity and violence, these things already exist in the world. Everything in the video is in context, so there should be no problem in the long run.
