Seeing life in rose color has never been this fun and cute with the newest Hello Kitty amusement park in China. On July 1, 2015, the theme park in Anji county, east of Zhejhiang province, officially opened its doors to a multitude of fans that span generations. With a land area of 60 hectares, this is the feline girl's biggest adventure park outside Japan. According to People's Daily Online, it is also the first of its kind in the mainland.

More than 1,000 runners from different parts of the world reportedly joined the Hello Kitty Run to usher in the opening of the theme park. A display of fireworks and song and dance numbers from the cast and different Sanrio characters also greeted the visitors on the first day, China Daily reported. Street parades and colorful rides caught the attention of parents and children alike. An estimated number of one million visitors is expected to arrive every year.

The project was part of Hello Kitty's 40th anniversary celebration in 2014 and reportedly amounted to $215 million. The rides include a Ferris wheel with Hello Kitty's massive face plastered at the center, a rotating swing ride, a spinning flower ride for kids, and a ship-like ride that traverses on water. The park also features a castle-like hotel that houses 343 luxury guestrooms, Daily Mail cited.

Despite the criticisms, from the announcement of its ambitious construction to the "boring" soft opening in January, the management appeared to have taken down notes and determined to make the park bigger and better.

"We have received good feedback since we soft opened in January. Of course, [we] have also received many suggestions of improvement [sic] which helped us improve our business," Daily Mail quoted one staff member's statement to Chinese news website Wishang.

Aside from street performances, Hello Kitty theme park will also organize grand night parades every Friday and Saturday. Wi-Fi coverage will be available in the entire vicinity for visitors who wish to post their pictures instantly on social media. Japanese company Sanrio has partnered with California-based entertainment design firm Hettama Group to make the dream theme park come true for many Chinese who adore Hello Kitty.
