"Titanfall: Frontier's Edge" will introduce a new in-game market dubbed the "Black Market" where gamers can buy Burn Card packs and Titan Insignias with credits.

The in-game currency can be earned by completing daily challenges, achieving match victory, completing matches, receiving the first victory of the day, selling burn cards and converting surplus experience points into credits after the gamer has reached level 50 on his profile.

David Shaver, a video game designer at Respawn Entertainment, assured the public that the establishment of the market and in-game currency scheme does not mean the company is allowing would-be gamers to use real-world funds to gain advantage over others.

The new DLC also features three new maps. The "Dig Site" is described as a vital asset on the Frontier and offers cover from aerial assaults with its sheer rock walls.

Titans are confined to walking through narrow paths between huge buildings and are vulnerable to players who jump overhead and strike from above.

"Export" is a hub for exporting goods established on the side of a mountain after a gold rush several hundred years earlier.

It pits player on player with close-quarter  combat and lets them use terrain to gain an advantage while the titans fire down from bottlenecks that shadow the town.

"Haven," which is set on an exclusive beach resort on the tip of a crater lake, is for the Frontier's luxurious elite. Players may jump between tall hotels for a better vantage point while Titans wreak havoc on the buildings below.

"Titanfall: Frontier's Edge" retails for US$9.99.
