(Photo : Chung Sung-Jun/Getty Images) SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA - JANUARY 22: EXO arrive for the 24th Seoul Music Awards at the Olympic Park on January 22, 2015 in Seoul, South Korea.
"Solo" is the word for EXO Chinese member Tao. He has been signing solo endorsement deals and has set up a one-man studio in China to manage his solo activities. Now he has posted photos of himself recording in a studio, and yes again, solo.
Tao posted the photos on his Weibo account, with a caption that reads, "A man that studies hard is hot, Hello everyone, it's been awhile," according to Korea Boo. In the photos, he can be seen sitting in a couch in a recording room, looking at a paper. The recording room seems to be at his newly established studio. He is wearing a red sports jacket.

There is still suspense surrounding his status as an EXO member. Tao has not been actively participating with the Chinese-Korean idol group since April. He did not participate in the recording of the four new songs of the repackaged album "Love Me Right," which the group released on June 3. He is also not part of the concerts that the EXO members are undertaking to promote the album.
When the news about Tao establishing his personal studio broke, SM Management, management agency of EXO, said that they knew about his studio. According to a statement released in June, the agency was still discussing Tao's career and Chinese activities with him and his father. Korea Boo quoted SM Manage as saying, "We hope to discover more possibilities for Tao's career through these discussions."
Tao's solo endorsement deals in his home country, China, includes Chinese mobile game "Chao Shen Zhan Dui" and snack brand Bugles. He was in China to promote the mobile game on the same day as EXO's repackaged album release.
EXO originally consisted of twelve members, including four Chinese members Tao, Luhan, Kris, and Lay. Luhan and Kris quit the group last year and have filed a lawsuit against SM Management, seeking termination of their contracts. There is much speculation about Tao's imminent departure as well, though he has been included in the latest EXO promotional merchandize, paper toys. There were reports about Lay's exit as well, but he has denied rumors about his intention to go solo.
