The One is an extremely popular smartphone from the Chinese technology firm. In spite of its relatively recent launch, the one has established a solid competition in a market that was previously crowded with only expensive smartphones. However, now the Chinese company is all set to launch its successor, the Oneplus.

Combining a series of impressive feature, this phone is also going to witness a first of its kind digital launch that the makers are claiming will give the users a better chance to connect with the brand as well as the device. It is said that the interesting twist to this launch is that the makers are giving away Google's Cardboard virtual reality glasses for free with the device. The only requirement is that those intending to purchase it should be willing to pay the shipping fee.

According to Tech Cruch, when Google launched its virtual reality glasses, soon after, there were many companies that launched similar clones; however, Google could be winning the race in terms of the price. While the average virtual reality headset is costing hundreds of dollars, Google is offering a very basic version at a relatively lower price.

The cardboard, as these virtual reality glasses are called, connects to the phone and use it as the operating panel allowing the users to see images in 3D. Smartphone maker Oneplus has announced that it will give away these Cardboard glasses for free, provided users are willing to pay for the shipping charges. In most cases, these charges come out to be a mere five dollars which is quite pocket friendly when users will look at the features of the glass.

Oneplus is actually offering a clone of these glasses because as soon as Google launched the project, it left the platform open, allowing others to capitalise on the technology and develop their own version, Android And Me reported.
