Melissa Berkelhammer Evicted - The fallen New York socialite Melissa Berkelhammer and her septuagenarian mother have been evicted this week from the luxury apartment of actress and friend, Julianne Michelle.
Melissa Berkelhammer evicted reports came a year after the two squatted in the Fifth Avenue apartment.

The owners of the apartment, Julianne Michelle Di Palma and her mother Joycelyn Engle Di Palma, have reportedly exerted their best efforts to get the Berkelhammer out to avoid further chaos. However, in the end they had to enlist the help of Congreswoman Maloney to have Melissa Berkelhammer evicted.
On June 24, a city marshal came to the apartment in order to force the 38-year-old and her elderly mother out of the home of Di Palma, who let Berkelhammer move in since her place was allegedly being renovated, according to Page Six.
Having Melissa Berkelhammer evicted was not easy.
"It took hours to get them out," according to a Page Six source. "Julianne hired movers and a large storage space on East 62nd Street so that their belongings would not be thrown out or lost."
"Julianne is determined that the 30-day squatter law needs to be changed," said Julianne's friend.
The current law in New York reportedly see squatters as legitimate tenants occupying a space for 30 days.
With Melissa Berkelhammer evicted, the Princeton and Harvard Law-educated blogger and her mother had to move into a hotel. While the socialite is currently getting a hostess job at a New York steakhouse, the trouble is far from over.
On August 17, Berkelhammer has to appear in court after allegedly shoplifting $4,000 worth of merchandise from Bergdorf Goodman.
Berkelhammer's arrest occurred in May after she was found leaving Bergdorf carrying an $880 Dribs day bag, $2,700 Christian Dior bag and a $320 Milly skirt inside purse, reported The Daily Mail.
According to Berkelhammer's lawyer, with Melissa Berkelhammer evicted and all that's been happening to her, the socialite is planning to offer a defense that claims she had been in a "very dark place" at the time following her friends' abandonment.
Melissa reportedly borrowed $65,000 from her friends via Facebook but she grew angry when nobody responded to her.
"Omg I can't believe I just completely humiliated myself for no responses whatsoever. Thank you all. Thanks a lot. . . I tried to be nice and humble about this but now I'm just damn angry. At ALL of you," she wrote on Facebook after the snub.
Her lawyer also said that with Melissa Berkelhammer evicted, her client is ready dedicated to "turning her life around," adding that she is set on having a legitimate job and a legal living situation soon, according to The Inquisitr.
