Heads up, Jon Snow shippers, and wipe the frown off those faces for the heartthrob hero of "Game of Thrones" (GoT) might be undead after all. No, he has not (yet) become a White Walker, but his hair, which seems to have a life of its own, is definitely pointing something out to the viewers.

British actor Kit Harington, popular to a legion of GoT fans as Jon Snow, was seen gracing the bleachers of Wimbledon this weekend sporting his signature long curls and scruffy beard, NewsComAu reported. That particular focus on how the 27-year-old kept his luscious locks weeks after the disturbingly double-crossing season 5 finale has had hopes leaping to speculative heights.

The Hollywood Reporter editor Aaron Couch appears to have summed up every fan's actual and mental gasps with his tweet, "OMG his hair is long! What does it mean?!"

In an interview with The Rolling Stone in 2014, Harington was quite determined to chop off his hair once his character has been killed off in the TV series. For him, it signals his departure from medieval characters with which he is seemingly typecasted.

"I told my agent, 'No more swords, no more horses.' You [don't want to] get stuck in things. And maybe I can cut my fucking hair," Harington told the magazine.

Quite unknown to many, there were news of the actor sharing with US talk show "Live with Kelly and Michael" that his trademark hair was under a contract. The hosts were quipping about the possibility that Harington's hair has a Twitter account of its own when the actor revealed that his ringlets do have a separate contract with GoT, BuzzFeed reported.

Despite Harington himself confirming that Jon Snow will not return for season 6, many fans are still unconvinced. Theories crop up like wildfire and appear to not go away soon. One keen observation was the possible role that Melisandre will play with her timely return to Castle Black. According to NewsComAu, the Red Priestess may use the ability of resurrecting the dead on Jon Snow, just as Thoros the Red Priest exhibited before Arya Stark in Season 3.

Whether Jon Snow's death is just as conclusive as the demise of any GoT character, one thing is certain--we know nothing.
