'Coaching Bad' with Former NFL Star Ray Lewis Addresses Anger Issues, Bad Coaching

With the NFL's annual Hall of Fame Game now history, HOF linebacker and former Baltimore Ravens star Ray Lewis is tackling the future of the sport. Lewis and his team are in Los Angeles shooting a new series for Spike TV called "Coaching Bad." The show is expected to begin airing in January 2015.

"Coaching Bad" will deal with poor coaching techniques and anger management problems. Lewis, along with writer and anger management expert Christian Conte, zeroes in on nine coaches who want to address their own anger management issues and bombastic coaching styles. The coaches are on the edge with their jobs on the line, so they're working with Lewis and Conte to solve those anger-related issues.
Coaches in the program come from around the nation and a variety of sports. They're living in a Los Angeles coaching facility where they'e being taught new coaching techniques and conditioning programs.
First, Lewis and Conte evaluate individual coaches' anger problems. Then, the dynamic duo work with the coaches to make changes. Finally, they assess the progress made by the coaches.
Other celebrity sports stars will come aboard for the training sessions. Indianapolis Colts coach Chuck Pagano, former NFL star linebacker Bill Romanowski and Los Angeles Clippers guard Glen "Big Baby" Davis will assist in training and production.
Showrunner for this exercise in retraining and compassion is Hayley Lozitsky. She is a development leader for Spike TV. the Spike TV team also includes Chris Rantamaki, Sharon Levy and John Irwin.
Lewis is renowned as one of the leading linebackers in NFL lore. He played in 13 NFL Pro Bowls during his Ravens career lasting 17 years. He was the NFL Player of the Year for Defense in 2000 and 2003 and was a member of two Ravens Super Bowl winning teams while also being named Most Valuable Player in Super Bowl 35.
