Beijing is imposing stricter rules amid its fight for a cleaner air quality. China's massive capital is resuming its stringent car restrictions in hopes of slowly reducing Beijing's heavy air pollution.
According to Eco-Business, Beijing has decided to resume its odd-even car rule that requires cars with odd and even license plates to travel only on assigned dates so that air pollution will be minimized in the area.

The local government has issued the traffic control policy last Friday after Beijing saw prior days with serious air pollution.
The government said that strict implementation of the policy will happen when the air quality in China reaches either the red level, the highest alert level, or the orange level, the second highest alert level.
As per Chinese authorities, the odd and even license plates will help determine which vehicles are allowed for transport on the road from 3 a.m. through 12 p.m.
Whenever there is an orange alert level, trucks and other vehicles that transport construction waste are banned from travelling in Beijing.
Meanwhile, at least 80 percent of vehicles by government departments, as well as state-owned enterprises, will be banned from the road during red alert days.
The only vehicles that will not be affected by this car restriction rule are the following: large buses, fire trucks, police cars, taxis, engineering emergency vehicles, pure electric cars and ambulances.
In its fight against air pollution, Beijing has partnered with the Tianjin municipality and the province of Hebei.
In other news, a car accident in the outskirts of the capital city killed at least five people, CRI English reports.
The car accident took place on Sunday at 6:20 a.m. in the Fangshan District, which is southwest of Beijing.
Authorities said two sedans run into the bus stop when they both lost control. They incidentally knocked down a couple of people.
Local media confirmed that four people died on the spot amid the incident. One reportedly died at the hospital despite receiving treatment, as per Global Post.
Following the bloody incident, the drivers of both sedans were detained by authorities over crimes of endangering the safety of the public.
Eyewitnesses told authorities that both drivers were trying to overtake each other at the bust stop before the crash.
Further investigation is still being carried out by the authorities as of late.
