Internet Plus is China's working blueprint that will combine the internet with other sectors of the Chinese economy. The idea was first announced last March and the subject has been brought up again this Saturday.

Xinhua reported that the Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang was the first government official to publicly discuss the Internet Plus plan.

The idea is to gather the data collected from the Internet, including cloud and mobile networks for use by other industries such a e-commerce sites or banks that offer online services.

Premier Li has expressed belief that the Internet Plus initiative can provide a new avenue for the country's economic growth by integrating technical process with the internet-of-things. The government hopes that the information technology plan will significantly contribute to the expansion of China's economy by the year 2018.

Beijing envisions the  online project as the cornerstone of Chinese economic development when the year 2025 comes.

The government plan calls for the removal of market constrictions and to allow cloud and software items related to Internet Plus to be readily available to Chinese online consumers. To help facilitate such transfers, clear rules on online credit transactions will be needed, according to Bloomberg Business.

Setting up the legal framework that will help Chinese online companies compete in the world web market is a priority.

China's current economic slowdown is the main reason why the nation's leaders are once again pushing for the development of the Internet Plus plan. China's economy is currently an export oriented economy which requires investments that are mainly obtained through loans. The push for an economy based on the technology can help turn the current model to become a consumer and service driven one.

The Register reported that the Chinese government is embarking on a campaign to catalog various internet data from across the country, which can be used in the future. Finance officials are also setting up a system where various financial agencies and companies can exchange background credit checks and information.

The central government has also announced plans to put the needed infrastructure in place such as fiber optics and wireless networks. Various agencies and ministries are currently relaxing the rules to make it easier for private business to participate in country's the communication industry.
