The 27-year old Tso is gunning for his 17th consecutive win of his professional boxing career against Wisaruth (21-11-1) in an eight-round Super Flyweight fight. Former IBF champ Zolani Tete was originally slated to test the Hong King pugilist, but Tso camps reportedly decided to pick Wisaruth over Tete, who was given a short notice to prepare.

Dubbed as Hong Kong's Wonderkid, Tso has been preparing hard under the tutelage of strenght and conditioning coach Ross Eathorne. WBC rated no.9 super-flyweight Rey Megrino and super lightweight Jay Solmiano has been testing Tso's mettle during their sparring sessions.

"No doubt, working with Ross has added a new dimension to my boxing.  My form has steadily improved. My stance and balance and even my posture have improved," Tso said in an interview with South China Morning Post.

"I am doing all my training here [in Hong Kong] and it's been good. My meals are prepared by my wife and I have all the support I need, including a nutritionist and a physio, so I'm taken care of," said the southpaw.

Tso, who boasts nine knockouts in 16 fights, is aware that his Thai opponent is someone who should not be taken lightly, regardless of his mediocre record. However, he is confident that he has prepared hard enough to be in position to win again at fight night.

My Thai opponent's ring record doesn't appear very good on paper but I have to respect him and Thai fighters are always tough to beat. I am confident of winning," Tso told SCMP.

With Japan's top super flyweight Kohei Kono vacating his WBC belt recently, Tso could have a chance to clinch a title shot soon, especially if comes through with an impressive win against Wisaruth.
