All-Star big man Carlos Boozer became an unrestricted free agent this July and it appears like the Los Angeles Lakers are not in a hurry to sign him back for another season.

In spite of the Lakers' seeming neglect for Boozer, there are still several NBA franchises that are reportedly interested in getting the 6-foot-9 power forward. Some of these teams include the San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Clippers, and Toronto Raptors, as per RealGM.

When Brandon Bass agreed to join Byron Scott's Lake Show on Monday, it became apparent that Mitch Kupchak and company are ready to part ways with the two-time NBA All-Star despite his decent production in just one year of coming off the L.A. bench.

Boozer averaged 11.8 points and 6.8 rebounds in a little under 24 minutes per game last season and could still be useful to any roster in need of a reliable backup forward.

SB Nation indicated that the Raptors are seriously considering Boozer to replace substitute power forward Amir Johnson, who recently agreed to a massive two-year, $24 million deal with the Boston Celtics last week.

After numerous transactions this summer, Raptors general manager Masai Ujiri is not done yet and was reportedly keen on adding the 13-year old hand to his list of new acquisitions.

While it is obvious that Boozer's best playing years are behind him, he can still be a solid frontcourt backup and a steady veteran presence in the locker room to lead the young Raptors as long as the price is right.

Meanwhile, CBS Sports reported that the Miami Heat is also targeting the former Duke Blue Devil this time as a possible replacement for Chris Andersen, who is on the trading block together with point guard Mario Chalmers to clear cap space for the re-signed Dwayne Wade.

Between the two experienced wide bodies, Boozer is noticeably a less effective defensive player but is slightly younger and could contribute more when it comes to the offensive end. More importantly, the 33-year-old is potentially cheaper than the 37-year-old.

Boozer earned $3.25 million last season with the Lakers while Andersen is owed $5 million next season in the last year of his Heat contract.
