Raymond Lam's contract with TVB has been completed and he has left the company.

Lam has confirmed while promoting his drama The Virtuous Queen of Han that his contract with TVB has ended.

The said actor has been with TVB for 16 long years and he is very grateful for all the opportunities that the said company has given him.

Lam started as an auditing student in TVB in 1998 and was offered a contract in September 1998 and he was given several projects on television series and as a host.

He added that it would be great to be working with the said station again in the future.

There has been a speculation that Lam left TVB because he lost the TVB Best Actor award in the past years which he emphasized that his decision had nothing to do with this.

Starting 2002, Lam has been nominated as one of the five finalists for TVB's Best Actor Awards which in 2008; he won the TVB's Favorite Male Character in his role as Kam Eing-Ho in Moonlight Resonance.

He feels great that he is now free and is available for interviews which were unfortunately limited while he was in TVB.

One of the questions posed to Lam was if he was recruited by his girlfriend, Karen Ng to join Raymond Wong Bak Min's company but the actor did not confirm nor denied. According to the actor, they both agreed that decisions on work related matters should not be influenced by each other.

Lam also denied the rumour that he is starting his own production company but nevertheless, he will continue his career as an actor.

Raymond hopes to be more focused on his music career and wants to continue working with Tang Chi Wai, a good friend and a songwriter.

More album releases for the year is what everyone should look out to.
