Broadway's First African American Cinderella is Keke Palmer

Keke Palmer is not only the youngest person to have a talk show but she is also the first ever African American to fit the role of Cinderella in Broadway. Talk about milestones!
Palmer is the host of the Talk Show 'Just Keke'. According to the producers of Cinderella, Palmer is very excited about her new gig. She will be making her debut as the uber famous Disney princess on the 9th of September. In her statement as soon as the news broke, Palmer said that she has an infinite amount of gratitude to show. She adds that she is very thankful to be able to do such and that she is excited for the discipline it will bring to her.

As for the lead producer of the show, Robyn Goodman, she said they are thrilled as well to be casting this talented 20-year-old actress. She noted that the Palmer grew up in the Chicago acting community and pointed out that Palmer has musical theatre in her blood.
Palmer is the new face of Cinderella and she is set to use the glass slippers. The slippers were custom-made by Stuart Weitzman, a famous designer. The slippers have been worn by Laura Osnes, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Paige Faure. Faure is still on a national tour playing Cinderella's role until this fall.
Palmer was first discovered when she starred in Nickelodeoan's 'True Jackson, VP'. She has also been part of the movie "Lifetime's A Trip to Bountiful" which was nominated for an Emmy Award.
When asked about her transition from the big screen to the Broadway stage, Palmer said that she is very excited to learn all the things that the stage has to offer and that she will be focusing in order to perform at a certain level every night. She also added that Cinderella is very girl's dream and to be playing that role is a dream come true for her.
She also posted on her Instagram account about this saying that you can do anything you want to do. She added that your life is your life and that you should not stop at anything. She ended by saying her fans should let their light shine and let God guide and bless them.
