Oppo and Samsung are now the target of a consumer protection group in China because of their app filled smartphones. Bloatware, which is what consumers say about Oppo and Samsung's excessive pre installed applications on their units especially the Samsung Galaxy S6 series.
The said Oppo and Samsung Bloatware is claimed to be occupying too much space in the memory of the phones, leaving very minimal space for the consumer's files. According to Tech Times, the Shanghai Consumer Rights Protection Commission has filed their complaint against the Samsung and Oppo over their alleged pre-installation of PUPs or Potentially Unwanted Program in their units.

Tao Ailian, secretary general of the Shanghai Consumer rights Protection Commission, said that he hopes this will serve as a lesson to other phone companies not to include too much pre-installed applications on their units like the ones Samsung and Oppo did. The alleged bloatware in Samsung and Oppo's units only became a nuisance when one of Samsung's spokeswoman confirmed that the pre-installed applications cannot be removed or uninstalled, instead, they can be removed and hidden out of the consumer's view.
However, in a contrasting statement given by Samsung to Gizmodo, the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Plus pre-installed apps has been rationalized, giving consumers the chance to uninstall some of its preloaded apps.
The Samsung bloatware issue has brought to the company's attention, and they have addressed the issue saying that they plan on putting less pre-loaded apps on their mobile phone units beginning the start of the year.
In a separate statement from a similar industry was quoted saying, "We are aiming to get rid of unnecessary functions and simplify our user interface at the level of Google's Nexus 6."
Samsung and Oppo has yet to give their formal statement regarding the bloatware of pre-installed applications on their units. Bloatware or PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) is one of the main causes of ineffective phone software as well as the main culprit on unwanted data charges due to their hidden features, something consumers are so warned about.
