Hong Kong Canto-pop singer Niki Chow and her boyfriend, Shanghai actor Jeremy Tsui, appeared awkward at a function they've both attended for the promotions of the new drama 'The Virtuous Queen of Han'.
It is the first time that the singer and actor would be seen together in a public event. The couple both seemed awkward around each other, maintaining their distance. The two didn't come together until they were both pulled together to take a photo.

After the photographs were taken, the couple quickly separated from each other, going on their own ways. While taking the photos, actor Raymong Lam, who also stars in the movie and has attended the event, joked around the couple saying, "The woman should stand in the middle!" referring to Niki Chow.
The Hong Kong-based singer has admitted that she had been feeling very awkward during the event especially because she was attending it with her boyfriend for the first time since announcing their relationship to the public.
According to reports, the actress also mentioned that she didn't want their relationship to be the center of attention during the promotions for the drama.
When she was asked if her company demanded her to keep a low-profile on her relationship with Jeremy Tsui, she said that their relationship has always been low-profile and was never a high-profile one to begin with.
To support the singer's claims on being awkward at the event, Jeremy Tsui also admitted to feeling the same way. The actor expressed that he was happy to be able to attend the same event with his singer girlfriend, but described it as rather 'awkward and nerve-wracking'.
After taking the photos, Jeremy Tsui said it wasn't that scary to be there just as he'd imagined. He has also expressed his thanks to the drama producer Mui Siu Ching whom he acknowledged for his current relationship with Niki Chow.
The actor spilled that he is planning to throw a surprise birthday party for Niki Chow on August 30 which could possibly take place in Shanghai.
