According to NBC News, Facebook has announced that it will be tweaking its newsfeed yet again to increase its user-friendliness features for a better experience. The new update will ensure that a user's news feed will display updates from best friends or those who are more in touch with you on priority.

The core purpose of introducing this new feature will make it possible for users to see information about people that matter to them, instead of browsing through the entire page in search of updates. The interesting twist is that Facebook will give users a chance to choose their best friends from whom they want to receive updates.

In his statement to NBC News, Greg Marra, product manager at Facebook, said that this will allow the news feed to prioritize from the information that is available, making it easier for the users to browse, irrespective of the time that they have. The new feature will be rolled across the iOS Apple devices starting today. Being called the "see first" feature, this option will be available in the updated version of the preferred batch controls. Even android users will be able to enjoy this update, in the next few weeks when it is updated gradually.

Meanwhile, Marra confirmed that the new update was introduced after receiving a direct feedback from users in November 2014, when they said that the news feed appeared more readable after being de-cluttered.

Additionally, a report on The Verge said that this new feature came with an unfollow setting that will allow users to choose the people with whom they continue to be in touch, without being bothered about crowding their news feed. This is one of the many updates introduced by the social networking platform to engage its users in a better way, over a period of last few months.
