How does a humble doughnut store attract customers? Ask a teenage pop diva to lick one of your goods.

After a video of Ariana Grande licking donuts at a doughnut shop in California was leaked, TIME reported that Wolfee Donuts had a sudden boost in sales, with the owner Joe Marin stating a tripling of business in the span of a few days after the incident. Despite the boost, Marin is not happy with what the "Love Me Harder" singer, stating that the spitting and the licking of the doughnuts could have gotten one of his customers sick.

The incident was the reported by Marin to the authorities, and Sky News reported that he has given the video tape to the Lake Elsinore Police so that they could investigate even further. The closed circuit footage of the former Nickelodeon star also features her backup dancer and alleged secret love Ricky Alvarez, where the two dared each other to mess around with the sugary sweets. It also showed them in an unpatriotic light, disrespecting America and its citizens.

Sadly, despite the fact that the pop star was the one with the misdemeanor, Wolfee Donuts and Marin are the ones in trouble for the food tampering. Gulf California Broadcasting reported that after Marin reported the incident, the riverside County Health Department revealed various health violations by the shop, thus receiving a "B" rating, with a score of 86. The shop will be up for reinspection soon though, and that rating may well be reverted back to "A," and no citations or fines will be issued. Grande, on the other hand, is receiving some negative backlash for her actions, to which she rightfully deserves. In a reply to the comments, she did mention the racist remark against Americans and the issue of obesity in America but failed to address the food tampering and the apparent kiss with her dancer seen on the video.
