A crying baby in an episode of "Game of Thrones" reminded a foster dad that he had left his 10-month-old daughter in the car in Wichita, Kansas, according to a police affidavit filed on Monday.

The foster dad, identified as Seth Jackson, was inside the house smoking weed with his partner, when a scene featuring a crying child in the hit HBO series reminded him that the little girl had been left in the sweltering car.

Jackson, 29, was charged with first-degree murder following the little girl's death on July 24.

No charges have been filed against Jackson's partner who was with him when the incident happened.

According to the autopsy report, the child died of hyperthermia brought on by heat exposure.

Police reports revealed that the child had been inside the car for more than two hours with the windows rolled up.

The couple was smoking marijuana while eating pizza and watching "Game of Thrones," according to Jackson's partner.

The affidavit said that halfway through the second episode, Jackson realized he had left the 10-month-old child in the car.

Jackson hurriedly went outside, unlocked the door and his partner took the little girl out of the vehicle.

According to police, the partner then called 911 while Jackson tried performing CPR on the child, but he couldn't get her mouth open because she was already hot and stiff.

The police responded to the call and found Jackson repeatedly saying "I left her in the car, she's dead, she's dead."

The firefighters who arrived found the little girl lying on her back on the couch. They moved her to the floor and attempted to revive her.

During the police interview, Jackson's partner said he and Jackson had been the foster parents of the little girl since she was only 2 weeks old.

Although the official cause of death was hyperthermia, the murder by first degree charge is considered reasonable as the death was caused by "the commission of an inherently dangerous felony, aggravated endangering of a child," according to Sedgwick County District Attorney Marc Bennett.

In addition to the 10-month-old girl, Jackson and his partner had custody of 3 other foster children. The foster kids are ages 3, 5 and 1. The couple also has two adopted two children ages 5 and 7.
