The reigning MotoGp Marc Marquez will try to better his performance in the Go Pro Motorrad German Grand Prix after the Repsol Honda star managed to clinch the pole position for tomorrow's race.

Marquez managed to smash his 2014 MotoGp pole record by half a second to secure his 3rd pole in 2015. Coming off as the bride's maid in the race at Assen, the Repsol Honda star says a final corner showdown again will be interesting here at Sachsenring.

Indeed, the final corner at Sachsenring has all the potential to create an exciting moment. In 2003, Valentino Rossi notably lost to Sete Gibernau in the final turn that season. If another neck-to-neck finish happened again, Marquez says he has already prepared himself in that kind of situation this time around.

Yamaha has built a significant lead over the Honda this season, winning 7 times in the last 8 races. However, Repsol Honda will have an advantage over their rivals in Germany after their scintillating performance in the qualifying round.

Marquez qualified exactly +0.585s ahead of the first Yamaha of Jorge Lorenzo in 3rd, while his teammate Dani Pedrosa clocked the fastest qualifying time, just +0.292s behind him in 2nd, to take a pole position advantage for Sunday's Go Pro Motorrad German Grand Prix.

"During this weekend I feel very comfortable with the bike and it looks like the feeling is coming back, but still we must work because we have some problems," Marquez told Crash.net.

Marquez is very optimistic about the compatibility of Rc213v in this circuit. He wants to use this potential, along with his good rhythm. to earn some points for tomorrow's race. Still, He needs to be tough on all the 30 laps as Pedrosa, Lorenzo and Rossi are expected to put pressure at his tail and will not hesitate to attack if needed.

"The target was to start on the front row because it is difficult to overtake in this circuit, but for sure it will be a difficult race. We will try to work with the tyres from the beginning because the race is really long and then try to manage the race until the end, which will be important. I think we can fight for the victory." Marquez said.

A perfect start is so crucial at Sachsenring, where overtaking opportunities are really limited. The character of the track has a lot of long left corners as the bike always spinning on these left corners. Tyre management will also be key in this 30-lap race.
