Moto G 2015 Leaked Renders Show New Design Plate; Release Date Expected in Q3 2015

The mid budget yet high-end Moto G is returning with the Moto G 2015 third generation smartphone within the third quarter of this year. Leaked images of the phone showed a new design plate in the rear.

According to Geeky Gadgets, fans will get the sight of a white version along with the very popular black edition. The white version of the handset is confirmed by the leaked image published on the Latinos Post by a credible tipster. The codename of the device is "Osprey" and the associated model number is XT150.

Regarding the features, the Moto G 2015 handset will feature user-friendly 4.97-inch display with 720 x 1280-pixel resolution. Moreover, 441 pixels per inch pixel density will provide excellent color balance and sharp pixels.

According to Gsm Arena, the hardware specification of the device might include Qualcomm Snapdragon 610 processor, where it will be assisted by 2GB of RAM while the predecessor of the device had Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor supported by 1GB of RAM and Quad-Core Cortex A7 CPU. The Moto G 2nd generation has Android KitKat 4.4.4 version operating system, which is upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The upcoming phone will sport 13MP rear facing camera; however, for video chatting and selfie purposes, the device will provide 5MP camera sensor. Features like geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama are also included in the camera settings.

The earlier version of the phone has 8MP rear camera with 720p HDR video recording capability while the internal storage of the device will remain same with 8GB storage. The earlier version has 32GB external storage facility whereas Motorola hasn't shared anything regarding the external memory slot.

The Moto G 2nd generation had 2,070 mAh non-removable Li-ion battery while the upcoming handset is expected to have a greater battery capacity and quick charging facility.

The Moto G 2015 will support 4G LTE network and it will unbox directly with the Android Lollipop 5.1.1 operating system. The predecessor of the phone was released in September 2014, and therefore, fans can expect to have the first sight of the Moto G 2015 third generation in September.
