The Android Lollipop 5.1.1 update is now rolling for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Duos and Motorola X handsets.

Google aimed to remove the bugs and provide a better Lollipop experience with the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for the Nexus series devices. And now, it is time for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Duos to receive the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update.

From the last few weeks, the single SIM variant of the Samsung Galaxy S6 is receiving the update depending on different carriers. The latest update will be packed with 620MB space, which can be directly downloaded to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Duos handset. Users who will not get the update via notification can download the over-the-air (OTA) version direct from PC.

The release of the Android Lollipop 5.1.1 update is officially restricted to Dubai for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Duos. Once the testing period is over at Dubai, the firmware update will be globally released all over the world.

Finally, Nexus 6 smartphone from Verizon carrier is about to receive the OS update from next week. The earlier version of the OS was plagued by the memory leak errors. The update will remove the memory leak issue and other application crash, freezing and lagging problems in Nexus 6 devices. However, greater battery life and quick charging facilities are also included in the update.

For getting the update, advanced users can download the over-the-air or flash the factory image. Flashing will remove the custom software and firmware updates, along with all data, but user can recover the previous settings from the backup. Otherwise, users can go for more simple method by leading to settings> About Phone> check for updates. If the Android update notification pops up, users can directly download and install the Android Lollipop 5.1.1, according to Android GS.

Android 5.1.1 OTA Lollipop will provide extra advantage for the Galaxy Tab 4 LTE users. Galaxy Tab 4 LTE owners will be able to enjoy material design interface with improved security settings. Features like Android Runtime, Guest User, Screen pinning and Device Sharing facility will also be upgraded.
