While they have been seldom seen out in public, Ashley Olsen and her 47-year-old beau Bennett Miller has made a rare public appearance in New York City.

The former "Full House" star was spotted last Sunday with her boyfriend leaving her apartment building in Manhattan. The millionaire businesswoman had been wearing her typical oversize yet stylish ensemble, including a collared shirt in cream and a plush sweater around the shoulders.

Her 47-year-old beau kept it casual with a black-trimmed blue T-shirt and denim jeans, and led the way to an SUV.

Earlier this year, the couple did make a public appearance at the funeral of the late Philip Seymour Hoffman last February.

Directed by Miller himself, Hoffman had starred in the critically acclaimed movie "Capote" in 2005.

Since then, Miller has taken on other films such as "Moneyball", featuring Brad Pitt, which was nominated for an Oscar as well as the upcoming movie "Foxcatcher"  starring Mark Ruffalo and Channing Tatum and will be released in November.

Olsen and Miller began dating shortly after the 28-year-old designer had called it quits with ex-boyfriend David Schulte, multimillionaire businessman and chief executive officer of luxury eyewear label Oliver Peoples.

Us Weekly reported that Schulte had been "a great guy and cute", but the relationship did not last long.

The actress previously dated actor Justin Bartha from 2008 to 2011 as well as designer Greg Chait and restaurateur Scott Sartiano.

Her twin sister, Mary-Kate Olsen, is currently engaged to 45-year-old French businessman Olivier Sarkozy; they have been together for two years.

The twins played the role of Michelle Tanner on the popular ABC sitcom "Full House" for eight years.

At present, the Olsen sisters have become successful businesswomen in the fashion industry, overseeing their own The Row fashion label and establishing a booming fashion empire worth approximately $1 billion.
