Marvel fans rejoice as new updates for the new X-Men spin-off "Wolverine 3" have been revealed regarding its plot details and a rumor of Logan making cameo and transfer to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to ComicBook.com, "X-Men" star Hugh Jackman has teased fans the possible plot details for "Wolverine 3" that is said to be based on Mark Miller and Steve McNiven's comic book storyline "Old Man Logan" during X-Men movie panel in the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con last week .

Screenrant further adds that Jackman announced that this could be the last time he will play the famous adamantium mutant Logan in the X-Men film franchise as he previously revealed that Jackman will appear in both "Wolverine 3" and "X-Men: Apocalypse" while Director Bryan Singer casually revealed he is likely to show up anytime during the film, Huffington Post reported.
It was last year that "The Wolverine" Director James Mangold first hinted that third Wolverine spin-off will be based on "Old Man Logan," but now that Jackman said these "three words" to the die-hard comic book fans, it looks like these could be true at all.
"Old Man Logan" depicts Wolverine as the last known "good" hero in the Marvel Universe as the world is now been taken over by several Marvel villains. The storyline also revealed that Logan was tricked into slaughtering the X-Men into thinking they are the bad guys, and was horrified by his action promising to never "pop-up" his claws again, until now.
Aside from plot details, a previous report from KDramaStars hinted that Jackman was open to the idea that Wolverine will show up in the "Deadpool" movie, opposite Ryan Reynolds, during an interview with MTV in March 2.
Jackman stated that Deadpool was not utilized carefully during "The X-Men Origis: Wolverine" film and agrees with the fans that the new spin off should give the fans what they deserve.
Another story from the website also revealed that Logan could possiby crossover to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Jackman was also opened for the opportunity to meet other characters from Avengers aside from X-Men.
Spider-Man was already part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe thanks to the joint partnership between Marvel and Sony. Perhaps Fox will do the same to their own superheroes movies someday.
"Wolverine 3" will be released in cinemas on March 3, 2017.
