The plane carrying the second American-infected patient with the Ebola virus has landed in Atlanta and the patient will be brought straight to the Emory University Hospital for treatment.
The private jet that carried the American nurse Nacy Writebol took off at 1:12 am local time, on Tuesday from Monrovia, Liberia's capital. It stopped at Bangor International Airport in Maine to refuel before taking its course straight to Atlanta.

Patients who have contracted the deadly Ebola virus have 60 percent mortality rate, but Dr. Jay Varkey, a doctor at the Emory University Hospital, is confident that they have the best quipment to treat Ebola-infected patients. He said that their care and treatment for patients increases their survival rate.
Humanitarian aid Samaritan Purse released a statement and said that missionary Nancy Writebol and Physician Kent Brantly received a dose from an experimental serum while the two are still in Liberia.
Writebol will join Brantly in an isolation unit at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
According to Writebol's husband, over the weekend, Nancy's appetite has improved and even asked for her favorite dish and coffee.
Emory University Hospital preferred not to comment on the patients' condition for privacy purposes.
The experimental treatment that the two patients received is ZMapp, an antibody drug developed by the Mapp Biopharmaceutical.
According to Thomas Geisbert, a professor at the University of Texas, the drug is still under development by the company and is previously untested to humans.
He added that if the patients' condition will improve after treatment, it may be difficult to connect their condition to the treatment given to them for there are several survivors who have lived even without treatment.
The Ebola disease has no approved vaccine or medicine yet, but maintaining fluids in the body can help. What matters is how the body maintains its condition and a strong immune system.
