Fans are in for many surprises when "Orange is the New Black" returns to Netflix for Season 3.

Now, there are bits of news making the rounds about what the show has in store for its next season.

For one, fans of Laura Prepon can now breathe a sigh of relief. The actress's character, Alex, has only appeared in four episodes in the past season, but it was confirmed that Prepon will be back as a series regular.

Audience first fell in love with the "That 70's Show" in the first season of "Orange is the New Black," but Prepon had made infrequent appearances on Season 2 due to scheduling conflicts. Now, the actress revealed that she will be in every episode for Season 3.

"It sucked because [show creator] Jenji Kohan and I wanted me to be in it more, but with the schedule, it didn't happen," Prepon told US Weekly at the Critics' Choice Awards. "I was so bummed out. But I handled it, so I'm in every [episode] in season three. It is so good."

Meanwhile, there are rumors that several new characters are about to join the show for Season 3.

Among the host of new faces for "Orange is the New Black" are Mary Steenburgen and "Fringe" star Blair Brown. Details on their roles are yet to be made public.

Steenburgen took to her Twitter account in June to announce that she's heading to prison.

"Very excited to go to my first wardrobe fitting of OINTB! Will I be in orange or black?:)," the actress tweeted.

Steenburgen and Brown are joining a large cast, which comprises not only of Schilling and Prepon, but there's also Uzo Aduba, Jason Biggs, Danielle Brooks, Natasha Lyonne, Laverne Cox, Yael Stone, Samira Wiley, Kate Mulgrew, Dascha Polanco and Selenis Leyva.
