"Downtown Abbey" may be coming to an end after six seasons, but Michelle Dockery, who played Lady Mary Crawley in the series, has reportedly found her newest role. The gig will be a far cry from the character Dockery has portrayed in "Dowtown's" Lady Mary Crawley for ten years.

According to a report from the Hollywood Reporter, Michelle Dockery's new role is for the upcoming TNT show "Good Behavior." Based on books written by Blake Crouch, "Good Behavior" is centered on the character of Letty Dobesh.

Michelle Dockery's role is revealed as the show's main character, Dobesh, who is both a con artist and thief. Chad Hodge of "Wayward Pines" is set to write and executive-produce the new show with author Crouch, who also penned the books which "Wayward Pines" had been based on, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The role is revealed as "a gorgeous, degenerate thief" who is "hardly a heroine," Crouch explained, describing Michelle Dockery's role.

Dobesh, Dockery's character in "Good Behavior," is a woman who has been in and out of prison more than once, but who is always set on reverting to her bad behaviour every time she is set free. While Dobesh has repeatedly tried staying on the right side of the law, she tends to get pulled back to the criminal world.

Michelle Dockery's role is also revealed as being a character who is fresh out of prison and someone who is struggling to keep her head above water. The teasers for "Good Behavior" show Dobesh overhearing a plan involving that of a hitman planning to kill a man's wife. Dobesh tries to stop the hitman leading her to a dangerous, racy and problematic relationship with the hitman, reported Headlines & Global News.

Michelle Dockery's role revealed in "Good Behavior" is her first on television following "Downtown Abbey." However, she also has another project set for the stage. She will be portraying the character of Madame de Tourvel in the London production of "Dangerous Liaisons," according to The Inquisitr.

Plans to end "Downton Abbey" were confirmed by executive producer Gareth Neame in March, according to Seattle PI.

"I think our theory is that it's good to quit while you're ahead . . . The show is so popular globally, but the danger with this sort of thing is to let them go on forever. The danger is that you run to seven, eight, nine, 10 years," said Neame at the time.

"But I think it's more important to us to make a perfectly formed show, in our opinion, that we bring to an end when we think the timing is right, and that people will love and remember that show for many, many years to come, and not feel that there was any sort of drop-off or we outstayed our welcome," he continued.

Dockery has played the role of Lady Mary Crawley in a wonderful way, therefore her Michelle Dockery's role revealed in the new series is an exciting change of pace for the talented actress.

There is still no premiere date set for "Good Behavior."

Apparently, Dockery can also do comedy. Watch her Funny Or Die role as "Tough Justice" in the video below:
