Lucy Hale from Pretty Little Liars told Cosmopolitan that her audition in "Fifty Shades of Grey" was "very, very sexual."
The "Pretty Little Liars" star revealed that she auditioned for the most controversial role of the year, Anastasia Steele. She said that during the audition, she felt uncomfortable. She said it would be exactly what you would expect, considering the plot of the novel series.

There was a monologue with very sexual lines, she said. Although, she admitted that there were a couple of things she was embarrassed to read out loud. But, these are the type of acting challenges that an actor or actress has to commit "wholeheartedly" or else it would all be a waste and the audition would just be foolish, according to Hale.
Hale said her "Pretty Little Liars" experience helped her become aware that Hollywood influences young women.
"That's terrifying sometimes because you're breaking out or you feel gross and you still have to be in front of the camera," Hale said talking about the challenges she had with shooting "Pretty Little Liars."
She said that people would compliment their "flawless" faces in Instagram photos but she said people do not really know how much effort they put just to achieve their looks. They put on fake lashes, fake hair and apply good filter in the picture.
She said that the media has made little girls think that they have to look like them.
Hale said she did not adore this type of media encouragement that is why she said she is eager to move forward with her music career.
Hale recently launched a country album. She said that people did not expect her to sing. Others just wished her luck. However, she said that if anyone would just give her 10 minutes and listen to her, they would know this is her real passion.
