Eight mug shots of Australian Bernard Tomic surfaced on Facebook after the tennis star was arrested in Miami for refusing to lower the music volume during a party in his penthouse suite.

Coined as a "tennis badboy", Tomic was reported to act aggressively towards hotel security by pointing his finger and slamming the door in their faces after he was advised to turn down the loud music. Miami Beach police then responded to a call from W South Beach Hotel who asked Tomic to leave the premises where he was paying almost $7000 a night.

After the police arrived, they attempted to escort Tomic out but the 22-year-old refused, prompting the police to arrest him on misdemeanor charges. The Australian spent time in jail and was later on released on a $2000 bail.

"It was definitely my fault from what happened," Tomic said as reported by The Guardian. "I was asleep at several occasions when they complained at first but it was just a noise complaint, and like I said I'm sorry for the police and the disturbance I caused."

Recently, the 25th ranked player in the world grabbed the headlines when he accused Tennis Australia of neglecting their players. He unleashed an attack particularly on Patrick Rafter who is currently Tennis Australia's Director of Performance. The result ended in his removal from the Australian Davis Cup Team which is scheduled to play Kazakhstan in a quarterfinal tie this weekend.

Despite the arrest, Rafter had optimistic words for Tomic whom he hopes would turn things around. Australian Davis Cup Captain Wally Masur also committed to step in and give the necessary help to the country's top ranked player.

"I'd like to think we've got the resources to help him absolutely," Masur said on ABC. "I've got four kids, and I look at Bernie as a 22-year-old kid in my eyes. I like him, and for me personally I will send Bernie a message. Whether he chooses to talk to me or not that's up to him. But I absolutely hope that Bernie can just move on and get back to what he does best which is playing tennis."
