In lieu to Raymond Lam's decision to leave TVB after being under the network for 16 years, Hong Kong stars Kevin Cheng and Charmaine Sheh have stepped forward to offer their support for him.
Raymond Lam has thanked TVB for developing his career through the course of more than a decade of being with the network and has also expressed that he will be looking forward to working together with the company again in the future.

The actor's colleagues have already given their blessings, recognizing his decision in good light. They have also expressed that they will be watching out for the progress of his career thereon.
Kevin Chen, who collaborated with Raymond Lam for the 2005 TVB drama 'Yummy, Yummy, Yummy', said that he will be backing the actor on his decision to leave. The actor has stated that perhaps, Raymond has decided that it was a good time to leave.
Kevin Cheng also shared an insight that if one artist is contained in the same environment, it limits developments and the audience would, in turn, get bored.
The Chinese actor has stated in previous interviews that he was planning to establish his own production studio. Due to this, others have speculated that the actor would soon leave TVB as well.
When asked if he has any plans to do so, the actor said, "My contract with TVB is not short. There are still more dramas I can film."
As for the studio he is trying to develop, Kevin Cheng said he will wait for the right time to establish it, basing it on his schedule.
On the other hand, Charmaine Sheh, who co-starred with Raymond Lam in 'Line Walker,' also expressed her support and stated that she didn't think it was a loss of TVB talents.
