Multiple division boxing champion Nonito  Donaire will take on  unheralded Frenchman Anthony Settoul in a 10-round  super bantamweight tune-up bout against at Cotai Arena hoping that a win leads to a titleshot.

The 32-year-old Donaire (34-3, 22 KOs), nicknamed the "The Filipino Flash" is being lined up against Undefeated Englishman Scott Quigg, according to Quigg's trainer, Joe Gallagher, via SkySports.com.

Quigg  (30-0-2, 22 KOs) is set to defend his WBA World super bantamweight title Saturday against hard-hitting Kiko Martinez (32-5, 24 KOs) at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England.

Quigg said will make a statement and do a number on Martinez, according to ESPN's Dan Rafael.

An impressive win against Settoul  (20-3, 8 KOs) and a proper defense from Quigg would bring the Filipino Flash to the brink of fighting for a major championship belt again.

The 28-year-old Settoul is yet to fight and beat anyone of note.

The European Union bantamweight champion, Settoul has fought almost exclusively in France and never
ventured outside of Europe. he won by first round technical knockout in his last fight against Ignac Kassai.

The fight against Donaire is a giant leap in competition for the French fighter.

Donaire's father, Nonito Donaire Sr., told Sunstar Cebu  that while Settoul is elusive, his son will have no problem with him.

The older Donaire added that there's no date yet for the potential matchup with Quigg and they still don't know if the fight will be the main event of the card.

Donaire has  amassed titles in five different weight classes leading to 2012 Fighter of the Year citation from various media outlets.

He was awarded Knockout of the Year in 2011 by both ESPN and Sports Illustrated for his second-round KO of Fernando Montiel.

However, losses to Guillermo Rigondeaux in April 2013 and a sixth round knockout loss to Nicholas Walters in October 2014 erased Donaire's status as an elite boxer.

Feeling he was just too small to compete at featherweight, Donaire went down to super bantamweight.

In his most recent outing, Donaire claimed the vacant NABF super  bantamweight title with a second round technicalknockout win over William Prado.

As expected, Donaire dominated Prado in that match.
