The camps of IBF-WBA-WBO champion light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev and WBA super middleweight world champion Andre Ward are now discussing a potential super fight between the two, according to ESPN.
Kathy Duva, CEO of Main Events, which promotes Kovalev, revealed that they have been talking to Andre Ward's people all week and there was a consensus that the fight is going to happen.

Duva said it's just a matter of when it will be held as the talks have been very amicable.
David Itskowitch, who heads the boxing division of Roc Nation, which promotes Ward, confirmed that they're interested in that matchup and that it will eventually happen.
Kovalev's next fight is a mandatory defense against France's Nadjib Mohammedi (37-3, 23 KOs) on July 25.
Kovalev (27-0-1, 24 KOs) was coming off a shutout decision in a unification fight against the Bernard Hopkins and an eighth-round stoppage of ex-champ Jean Pascal.
According to Duva, Kovalev wants to fight the very best out there--and fighting Ward would be a matchup between two top five pound-for-pound boxers in the world.
Of course, the Russian has other options.
He is still eager for rematch against Pascal, whom he hopes to crush at an earlier round and the WBC has also a ordered unification bout against WBC champion Adonis Stevenson if Kovalev defeats Mohammedi. .
Kovalev has also shown that he is capable of talking trash, and called Pascal and his fellow Canadian light-heavyweight Stevenson as "pieces of s--t", according to boxing portal Sweet Science.
Ward's last major fight was a one-sided 10th-round destruction of then-light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson in September 2012.
Due to a dispute with his ex-promoter, Ward (28-0, 15 KOs) has only fought twice since, including his June 20 ninth round knockout of Paul Smith at a catch weight of 172 pounds.
Fighting at 172 pounds allowed Ward to get a feel of moving up from 168 pounds.
Wars, who is planning to eventually compete as a full-fledged light heavyweight, is also seen as a potential foe for middleweight champ Gennady Golovkin, who would move up in weight for the said fight.
