The logic behind the name of EXO's new fan club couldn't be make more sense as the letter L in "EXO-L" stands for 'Love'. The letter L also goes between the letters K and M in alphabet order. The letter L represents fans that show their avid support for both of the group's sub-units, EXO-K and EXO-M.
Additionally, in line with EXO's famous line, 'We are one,' 'L' symbolizes the unity of the boy band and their fans. The letter L is also the 12th in the English alphabet which signifies the previous number of members in the group before Kris Wu, one of the Chinese members, left, according to fans who have analyzed what's behind the meaning of the fans club's name.
The official page for EXO-L has already been developed in order to let fans communicate with their favorite idol group. Based on reports, SM Entertainment is also developing an application through which fans can chat with EXO. The application also provides the group's complete schedules.
The excitement over the launching of the official fan club has even caused the group's official fan club site to crash shortly after the announcement. The entertainment agency had done thorough estimations on the number of visitors, but they hadn't expected the site to receive such a huge response.
Members of said group have also updated their Instagram and Weibo accounts to celebrate their new fan club, congratulating their fan base for it.
"We want to express our thanks for the unexpected response," SM Entertainment's representative said on an interview.
With the release of the new fan site and official fan club, EXO's fans would be closer to the boys and interact more with them.
