The 38-year old actor has set aside his work in order to become a full-time doting father to his newborn child. Even before the birth of his daughter, he expressed his wish to accompany his wife as they awaited the arrival of their little angel.

During Wang Yuxian's gestation period, the actor has been concerned about his wife's health and has decided to stay in Taiwan where he can enjoy family life.

The photos show that of the sleeping baby who seemed to resemble her father a lot with her chin and double eyelids while her delicate features no doubt came from her mother.

On the Weibo post, Daniel Chan captioned the photo, greeting the fans on his daughter's behalf. The post said, "How bog brothers and sisters, this is my first time here. My pet name is Duo Duo, my English name is Kathelyn and my Chinese name is Chen Zhi Lin. I just turned a month old."

The actor even added how he was the one who gave his daughter's English name while her Chinese name was decided by his Wang Yuxiand and the child's grandmother after Daniel lost at voting for it.

Daniel Chan also revealed the story behind his new song on his Weibo post. The actor made it seem like his daughter was the one speaking, saying the child loved to listen to music from the moment she was born.

"Whenever my daddy plays music for me I feel like singing along, but my singing somehow becomes cries and screams. My daddy can't deal with me, so he added my voice into his new album. I sang the song 'Shining Girl' with him, and it was recorded into the album," the actor posted.

The Hong Kong singer-actor has also stated his thoughts about the recent disasters that happened in Taiwan and China, expressing his hope for the affected people to recover speedily.
