Rumors that actress Joey Meng and Johnson Lee are romantically inclined to each other filming their new TVB drama 'Officer Geomancer,' but the two have denied the rumors, both coming up with different explanations for it.

Recently, a gossip magazine also published a photo of the two stars kissing under the rain while sharing an umbrella. Hong Kong actress' Joey Meng's husband scriptwriter Chan Sap Sam was reportedly upset about the rumors.

The two stars were said to have been inseparable on the set of 'Officer Geomancer' and have been meeting each other for meals very often.

Last August 1, the two stars were spotted with their friends Pal Sinn and Rosanne Liu having dinner together. The group of friends were said to have shared a meal and drank together later for four hours.

At around midnight of the same date, the friends parted ways, but according to reports, Joey Meng and Johnson Lee left together, walking around the vicinity for a few minutes under the rain while sharing an umbrella that the actor was holding.

At a certain point that evening, the actor was said to have held onto the actress' shoulder and kissed her on the lips before they stood at the corner of the street to wait for a cab. The two stars boarded the same cab minutes later and seemed to be in an awkward situation, sitting far from each other and not conversing anymore.

Subsequently, the reports were refuted by Joey Meng. The news has upset the actress especially because she was married. She explained that her co-star Johnson Lee just whispered something to her that time, attracting the attention of bystanders.

"I don't need to explain this. Our friends that were there with us knew what was going on. The ones who took those photos also know the truth. This is a really old trick used in the industry," the actress said in a statement she released as a response to the rumor.
