Lee Min Ho Awarded Producer's Choice at BiFan for 'Gangnam 1970', Actor Expresses Desire to Star in Melodrama with Moon Chae Won

South Korean star, Lee Min Ho, dressed to impress during the 19th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival held Thursday. The star was awarded with Producer's Choice for his acting in the film "Gangnam 1970." Despite earning massive success in the big screen, the actor recently confessed to wanting to work on a television melodrama with none other than Moon Chae Won.

Things are going great for Korean Hallyu star, Lee Min Ho. After the massive success of his television series, "The Heirs" and his big screen movie "Gangnam 1970," the South Korean actor has been roped in to play the lead role in the international action adventure film, "Bounty Hunters."
The said film will be filmed across Asia, particularly in Korea, China, Hong Kong, and Thailand. Shin Terra is at the helm of production with the script to be written by Edmond Wong. Production for the film involves Hong Kong's Pegasus motion, China's Harmonious Entertainment Shanghai, and Korea's Starhaus Entertainment.
The film is set for release by 2016. Recent reports claim that filming for the movie would start by August.
Despite already having an international movie to work on, Lee Min Ho expressed his desire to star in a melodrama television series. So who would his partner be? While some fans hope it would be his real-life girlfriend, Suzy of Miss A, Lee Min Ho claimed he would love to star in a drama opposite Moon Chae Won.
Moon Chae Won and Lee Min Ho worked in the past for the SBS teenage drama series, "Mackerel Run." It was in the said series that another actress in Korea became known, this was none other than Park Bo Young.
"I'm at the age to do melodramas," said Lee in a report by KDramaStars, adding, "If I were to do another project with Moon Chae Won, I like that [melodramas] would be best.
As for winning the award at the BiFan, Lee Min Ho claimed it was the first ever award he has received for starring in a big screen film.
"I think this is the first award I've gotten for a movie. That will make this an award that I don't forget for a very, very long time," stated Lee Min Ho in a report by Soompi.
