A Bristol mother was taken into custody after reportedly sexually abusing her son, while her recorded the incident using a webcam. Psychiatric reports indicated that the suspect suffers from a personality disorder.

The mother, 39, was arrested after admitting she sexually abused her son, while reporting the her partnet for domestic violence at the Bristol Domestic Abuse Services.

The 12-year-old boy had narrated to the prosecutor how his mother gave him a 'sex lesson' while her partner watched and directed her mother what to do via a webcam and a computer link.

After several hearings, the court learned that the mother's partner forced the two in a number of occasions while he watched them from another country through the internet.

Reports showed that the mother had been wearing headphones throughout the 'lesson' so that the 'highly abusive' partner could tell her what to do.

The mother's name remain undisclosed to protect her son. But she was sentenced to three years and three months in prison. Her children are now in protective care with the government's social services.

During the trial, the suspect cried and denied that she had 'volunteered' to have sex with her son. However, she admitted to have engaged in penetrative sexual activity with a boy below 13-years-old.

"But you continued to behave towards your son in a way which, despite that pressure, your own instincts should have prevented," Judge Michael Longman told her as he read her sentence.

He explained that though there was a man controlling and influencing her, she committed a heinous crime that runs 'contrary to human instincts and basic decency.'

A psychiatric report revealed that the mother is suffering from a personality disorder where she is prone to engaging in abusive relationships and had become independent to an abusive partner.

Meanwhile, authorities have coordinated with police in the other country to put the abusive partner to justice.
