The original "Resident Evil" game is now being HD remastered for release in 2015.
Japanese video game developer Capcom Inc. has confirmed today that a new version of "Resident Evil 1" will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC platforms.
It will be due for an early 2015 release in Europe and North America.

The current generation console version of the game will also arrive in Japan in November 27 this year, according to a scoop from Japanese video game magazine Famitsu.
The price of the upcoming title in Western market has not been disclosed although it was rumored to cost 3,990 yen in Japan, or US$39.
"Resident Evil HD Remaster" will be based on the GameCube "REmake" which was launched in 2002. It will introduce improved graphics and enhanced game play. The list of upgrades will be impressive, including various new contents which was not available in the original game.
Its display resolution will also be immensely upgraded, which will result to 1080p visuals for Xbox One, PS4 and PC platforms.
However, 720p visuals will be supported for previous generation consoles such as PS3 and Xbox 360.
All platforms will support 5.1 surround sounds.
Moreover, players will have the option to play the game in old display ratio of 4:3 or in widescreen 16:9 ratio.
A scrolling camera which will compromise the old fixed angles to a more versatile camera option will also be included as one of the game's updates.
The original "Resident Evil" was one of the earliest games branded in the genre of "survival horror". It introduced classical game characters like Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine who must carry on a mission to investigate the disappearance of colleagues in Racoon City.
Capcom's latest franchise to the hallmark title was "Resident Evil 6," which debuted back in October 2012.
According to the technology weblog BitBag, the developer had started the production of "Resident Evil: HD Remaster" shortly after the release of "Resident Evil 6", considering the duration of game creation.
