The Apple iPad mini saga is not yet done, and its latest product lineup may be its thinnest among all of its series so far. The iPad Mini 4 was introduced via an alleged leaked image on OnLeaks, showing a rather thinner, enhanced and elegant design. The new slim body, while it may imply an overhauled design for the iPad Mini series according to Christian Today, is still not the design Apple Inc. promised to do with its tablet platforms. The new iPad Mini 4 will be launched in the likeness of iPad Air 2, but with a single row of speaker holes.

The iPad Mini 4 is also expected to have some small changes in its features, like the rumored removal of the mute button in exchange of a microphone. Despite its thinness, its software capability where storage is concerned is not compromised with 2GB of RAM and an A9 processor. Along with this is the co-processor that adds up to the speed of the device. This information was released by Apple in order to address claims that the iPad Mini 4 will have a very minimal upgrades.

The retina display of the iPad Mini 4 is 7.9-inch and runs on iOS 9. The retina display, being made compatible to iOS 9, is currently being developed by Apple along with its "Touch ID Fingerprint Scanner" that is suitable for the Apple Pay mobile service of the device.

Users of the iPad Mini 4 may not realize any difference in its storage capacity but they will surely enjoy its longer battery life, significantly assigned to the new and slimmer iPad Mini.

According to Tech Radar, the release date of iPad Mini 4 is not yet set, but given how Apple announces their new product line in October, the iPad Mini is more likely to be available in the market by November. The cost will have to be announced on a later date, but Tech Times assume that it will be around $399 to $499, a price not far from the retail rate of iPad Mini 3.
