"Vanderpump Rules" Star Jax Taylor was arrested Friday and was charged with felony after stealing a pair of pricey sunglasses at a Hawaii gift shop, TMZ reported.

Taylor, 35, was with girlfriend Brittany Cartwright when the incident occurred over the weekend. Reports said the couple were spotted kissing, drinking and posting selfies at the time they were in the Aloha State.

Jax Taylor, whose real name is Jason, reportedly went into a gift shop and left with the sunglasses without paying for them. He later came back to the store, but the cops were already waiting for him. He was put into custody and charged with a felony, according to MSN. Threshold for theft to be considered a felony in Hawaii is $300.

In the TMZ-obtained video of Jax Taylor's arrest, the actor was shown at Honolulu's Freaky Tiki Tropical Optical store. The 35-year-old was arrested at a hotel a block away from the store, according to TMZ.

In the video, since Taylor appeared to go back to the store after grabbing the shades, he could have forgotten that he had the shades and just went back to return them.

Since the video of Jax Taylor's arrest surfaced, fans made fun of the bartender/model on his Instagram page, according to The Inquisitr.

"How did you manage to get arrested in Hawaii, lol. Only you aaand probably me. Hope you good dude and is something silly," said one fan.

"What you don't make enough money you have to go and steal sunglasses, seriously come on!!! Your not setting a good example for your fans!" said another.

Jax Taylor might seem one of the few celebrities charged with shoplifting. But in an Inquisitr report, actress Winona Ryder had also been found shoplifting several times.

Taylor was in Hawaii for the filming of "Vanderpump Rules," the Bravo reality series about Lisa Vanderpump and her staff at Hollywood restaurant SUR. Bravo announced in May that the show would be renewed for a fourth season, reported The Daily Mail.

In a recent tweet, Jax said he is back from Hawaii, meaning he managed to get out of jail and the felony charges.
