Vincent Kartheiser and Alexis Bledel have managed to keep a big a secret from the public for over a month - they're married.

The couple exchanged vows in California after more than a year of being engaged.

Those in attendance included Kartheiser's co-star Jon Hamm and Matthew Weiner, the creator of "Mad Men".

A wedding guest shared that Bledel was "breathtaking" and that Kartheiser teared up as he saw his bride walk down the aisle.

The 35-year old "Mad Men" actor proposed to 32-year old Bledel in March 2013. The two met on the set of "Mad Men" in 2012 when Bledel, star of the now-defunct "Gilmore Girls", played Kartheiser's mistress.

Kartheiser was said to have been smitten with Bledel from the moment she appeared on set, while Bledel had nothing but admiration for Kartheiser's acting prowess.

Love was brewing between the two, but they never lost sight of the fact that they needed to be professional. Kartheiser shared, We never saw each other out. We never - it was nothing, it was just work."

When Bledel had finished filming for the three episodes she signed up for in the show, she shared that Kartheiser was funny and was easy to work with. 

The couple's onscreen chemistry went off-screen and, the two eventually went public with their romance in October 2012 as they walked the red carpet in New York. After five months, Kartheiser asked for the beautiful actress' hand in marriage.

Before proposing, Kartheiser asked for advice and tips from his "Mad Men" co-stars Jessica Paré and Elisabeth Moss.

Moss shared that the couple complemented each other, saying that the two "are such yin and yang". Moss, who has known Kartheiser for more than a decade, also commented, "I've never seen Vincent like this. It is really cool."

Although the public knew that Kartheiser and Bledel were a couple, the two tried to keep things private as much as they could.
