Bad blood may be spilling all over the music industry once more, as Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj get into a Twitter feud.

Nicki Minaj was obviously throwing some shade up in the air when she tweeted her reaction regarding the Video of the Year award for the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, and Entertainment Weekly reported that she called out videos that celebrate women with slim bodies. She also said she will be there to collect that award herself.

However, the former country crooner as well as her fans were quick to speculate that the tweets were hurling negativity towards the "Bad Blood" video, where Taylor Swift was accompanied by her supermodel friends. Also through Twitter, Swift replied that she has done nothing but gave her love and support to Minaj. She also said it is unlike her to put down women. New York Daily News reported that Nicki Minaj quickly defended her post and said what she tweeted were not throwing shade at anyone, but rather shedding light on the choices made by the industry. One Twitter account that followed the rap goddess even made a juxtaposition on how Miley Cyrus's "Wrecking Ball" was just as provocative and record-breaking as "Anaconda," yet because the song is rap and was sung by a black woman, it did not get nominated.

On a lighter note, fans could not help associate a recent tweet made by Kim Kardashian refencing the Kanye-Taylor incident in a previous rendezvous. E! Online reported that Kim has since deleted the tweet, defending herself that it was not a jab at what Swift and Minaj are going through, but rather an innocent tweet that was perfect for the photo attached.

Though Taylor Swift did invite Nicki Minaj on stage if she won, what could be picked up from the story is that people should really read carefully before tweeting, lest they have to defend themselves for being defensive.
