Microsoft recently released a report on their earnings for the last quarter of the fiscal year 2015, and the results were satisfying. According to Attack of the Fan Boy, the last quarter of the year gave Microsoft an increase in sales of Xbox One and Xbox 360 of up to 30 percent. Compared to the same quarter of 2014, the company only sold 1.1 million combined quantity of Xbox One and Xbox 360, whereas, in 2015, a total of combined 1.4 million was sold to its consumers. The move to eliminate Kinect from their Xbox Console series has enabled more consumers to afford the Xbox, from a bundle price of $599 to $350 without the Kinect.

Aside from the Xbox series, Microsoft's Xbox Live transactions massively collected $205 million in sales, a clear 58 percent increased in sales as well as the First Party Games that made a huge impact of 62 percent, or a staggering $63 million in sales compared to what they made last year. A special mention to Microsoft's "Minecraft" made the sales soar higher than expected. With Minecraft in tow as an additional factor in the company's successful Xbox sale, this may even increase in time with the pending release schedule of "Halo 5: Guardians," set to be released this year.
In a recent report by Wired, the absence of any Xbox 360 compatibility to Xbox One in its previous versions have been the target of Microsoft's updates by adding "native" or old compatibility from Xbox One for Xbox 360, in order to play some old Xbox 360 on their next generation platform.
During its announcement at the recent E3, not all the games will be playable, but Microsoft promised at least 100 of those games will be available on Xbox One soon. The collaboration, according to Wired, will leave PlayStation 4 as the only gaming platform that will not cater to old games of Microsoft and its last generation games. RPG "Mass Effect" took center stage by showing a demo assimilated to the Xbox One.
