A Google team member posted on a forum that their team is currently working on a multi-user support feature for the privacy of Android users.
In June, Google unveiled its latest update to the Android operating system which the company called the Android L. It will have new features such as a lock screen that displays the user's notifications as cards; a "do-not-disturb" feature for notifications and a new developer tool to track battery consumption by apps.

With all the new additions to the latest version of the operating system being developed, Google didn't have enough time to mention them all, according to the Business Insider.
A feature that was missed was the addition of multiple user profiles for smartphones running Android. The feature is handy for smartphone users who use their phones for work and at home, as well as those who have kids or who have nosey friends and family.
A member of the Google team provided the details about the project in reply to a user who voiced his concern about the lack of multiple user support present for Android smartphones.
The team member said Google is addressing the issue and will be implementing a feature for this purpose on its next public build, which is the Android L, according to Android Police.
Some of the smartphones running Android already have the ability to support multiple users, but only if the manufacturer of the device included it on the customized Android skin.
The latest smartphones from LG such as the G2 and G3, for example, have a guest mode that lets the main user set a particular lock pattern for others that wish to use the device. The owner of the device can specify which apps can be accessed by the guest.
Microsoft's Apps Corner, which will be released in the latest Windows Phone 8.1 update, will have a similar feature.
The Android L update will be released later in the year, according to Engadget.
