Manchester United have confirmed that they offered Bayern Munich a lucrative deal as manager Louis Van Gaal strongly wants to have the 2010 FIFA Golden Boot Awardee Thomas Muller this summer before the transfer market shut down.

However, the reigning Bundesliga Champion Bayern Munich had previously rejected a bid worth of €82 million for Muller. The club Chairman Karl Heinz Rummenigge has quickly responded and stated that Bayern Munich will not sell star players to Manchester United anymore, as their long time skipper Bastian Schweinsteiger has already departed last week to join the Red Devils.

Bundesliga have expressed their concern that the Barclays Premier League are overtaking them left, right and centre when taking into account of the transfer market activity, marketing terms, tv money and anywhere.

Thus, the Bundesliga has to be careful not to fall further behind. At the moment on, several clubs in the Premier League have been working to upgrade their roster this summer to prepare for the forthcoming season.

An account disclosed that Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola is unsure of Muller's value at the club. Pep and Muller relationship as a coach and a player have been on the rough side, after their training ground dispute.

Manchester United has all the credibility and financial power to sign any football player on this planet. They know Muller is really significant for Bayern Munich, that's why he has the price to match and certainly the club would understand that 100 million is a huge figure to deny. Muller would make around £265,000 per week at Manchester United if the deal pushes through. For the player himself, he is flattered with the Red Devils manager Louis Van Gaal's attention, via IBT.
