Canadian-Taiwanese actor Mark Chao expressed his wish to become a father soon in a recent interview after being wedded for only almost two months to Gao Yuan Yuan, his girlfriend of two years.

The couple has just registered their marriage in Beijing in June and is yet to hold their wedding banquet. They also had to travel to Taiwan to have their marriage registered since the actor is a native of the country anyway. Mark Chao and Gao Yuan Yuan are said to be enjoying newly wedded bliss together.

Mark Chao has attended the exhibition of the luxury brand Montblanc for the 90^th anniversary of the company's Meisterstruck product line. During the event's press interview, Mark's impending wedding banquet became the center of attention.

There were rumors circulating that couple is to hold their wedding banquet in early 2015, but was moved to an earlier date as it might clash with singer Jay Chou's upcoming wedding.

Mark Chao, however, denied the rumors. The actor said that he and his wife haven't gotten through the details of the event and he refused to reveal anything regarding the issue. Additionally, the actor said that the only time they will be letting everyone know of the details is when they have confirmed everything themselves.

The 'So Young' star has also shared his desire to become a father, opposing a reporter's opinion regarding young couples these days refusing to become parents. He had hoped that people wouldn't think that way despite the many deterrents the chaotic society poses.

"Having kids is a happy thing," the actor answered. He seemed happy as he said he didn't have kids yet, but was hoping to have them, claiming that having children makes a family complete.

When asked whether he and Gao Yuan Yuan are planning to have children soon, he said that he and his wife are going to let nature take its course, but it shouldn't take too long before it happens.
