According to Sun Changjun, from this week on, Zoomlion plans to release a series of announcements in Hong Kong Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange. In addition, Zoomlion will file a lawsuit against some companies. Sun Changjun expressed his hope to take this opportunity to clarify the rumors about Zoomlion. "Zoomlion welcomes relevant agencies to investigate the several major problems of Zoomlion, including whether there exists financial fraud, whether the company buy lands at low prices in the name of investment and whether some individuals in Zoomlion takes advantage of our listed company to benefit." Sun Changjun said.
July 12th, a spokesman of China Securities Regulatory Commission said at a regular press conference that the commission had received materials reporting Zoomlion for financial fraud. They were processing the information according to relevant procedures. This was the first time China Securities Regulatory Commission announced they accepted the reports on Zoomlion this year.
Since January 8th, 2013, Zoomlion has been accused of financial fraud for five times. Due to the negative effects of these accusations, Zoomlion shares have fallen more than 40%, and more than 34 billion yuan of market value have evaporated. A person in charge of Zoomlion said that the series of financial fraud accusations had caused tremendous consequences for Zoomlion. They are receiving enormous pressures from investors now.
