Rebecca Black Is Back - On Thursday, the 18-year-old said she hasn't completely disappeared from the face of the Earth and that she will soon be releasing a completely different kind of music.
Rebecca Black hit the red carpet for the "Bad Night" premiere in L.A., while also meeting up with Entertainment Weekly. She shared what she has been up to since becoming an overnight sensation five years ago.

The name Rebecca Black has been forever etched into everyone's memory. The 13-year-old released her ARK Music Factory-produced "Friday" and it became a viral sensation. However, the kind of pop sensation Black experienced wasn't something any artist would have wanted. During the interview with EW (shown in the video below), Black admitted that the negativity around "Friday" "wasn't really the kind of attention any 13-year-old girl wants. I made the song with no intention of it doing anything, and here it was doing something."
To those attending this year's VidCon, Rebecca Black announced her new album explaining that the music will be completely unlike "Friday," according to The Inquisitr.
"It's definitely not like 'Friday' or like 'Saturday' or anything I've really released, which is why I'm a little nervous about it," the singer told the People and Entertainment Weekly VidCon stage.
Black made the same announcement on YouTube, adding that she was also re-join the video blogging world. Since the "Frday" music video fiasco five years ago, the recent high school graduate has been taking to YouTube to express her creative side, reported Extra TV. On her channel, the 18-year-old posts various videos, some of which are of her singing album covers of artists' hits. Based from the videos, Black has a pretty decent voice.
"What I love and have loved about doing YouTube is that I have complete creative control," Rebecca Black said of her YouTube channel.
In the EW interview, Black said that she got back into music recently with the help of a new producer.
"I found a producer that I could work with well and that really understood what I wanted," said Rebecca Black. "A lot of it beforehand was sort of like songs picked for me, and I wasn't really cool with that. Once I started actually getting into the writing process and being a writer on every song and loving and really connecting with every song, I think we are creating something really magical."
Still, the question remains, is the world ready for Rebecca Black's new music?
On Twitter, people have mixed feelings.
